another brilliant french film playing in the online french film festival until the end of the week….’sport de filles’ is nearly impossible to describe, the most one could say is that it follows a group of people as they prepare for competitions of horse dressage…the eclectic cast features josiane balasko, the great german actor bruno ganz, chanel muse amanda harlech and, in the main role, marina hands, the actress who played in the beautiful french version of lady chatterley released a few years ago….with music by john cale and stunning photography, ‘sport de filles’ is one of those offbeat films that works on its own terms….
